Most family photos or engagement shoots look like everyone was told to stand still and smile. Mine don't. I photograph you and your family the way I photograph a wedding: quietly, in the background, catching the real stuff: the bursts of laughter, the eye-rolls, the dances, the toddler who won't sit still, the quiet cuddle when they finally do. You don't perform for the camera; you just spend an hour or two together, and I document it. What you're left with feels like home: honest, warm, and yours.

Why documentary works for families and engagement shoots
Posed studio portraits freeze everyone into their “photo face". A documentary approach does the opposite. I may direct here and there to break the ice, but will mainly stay unobtrusive so you forget I'm there, which is exactly when the real expressions come out. It's the same instinct I bring to weddings, and it's why these photos still feel true years later, when the kids are grown and the season of life has moved on.

How it works
Tell me a little about you as a couple, your family and what you'd like: a family portrait, an engagement shoot, a milestone, or just a “before they grow up too fast."
We pick a time and place that suits you, and I share a few tips on outfits and timing (nothing complicated).
We spend the session together, I can both guide you and do my thing quietly in the background, depending on the moment.
You receive your private gallery within two weeks.
